Peter Hathaway Capstick, also has some incredible books on hunting in Africa and India.
If you are into early American Fur Trade / Mountain Man stories. Terry C Johnson's "Carry The Wind" series of books are highly recommended.

Anything by Allan Eckert. I can't read like I did before my last surgery, no explanation, but loved all his books including the Frontiersman. Also ISHI, and The Witchery Of Archery, Fantastic reading if I recall.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....
