When I was in the states earlier this month I fished on a charter boat in SF bay that is operated by a great guy I've known since he was 13. Later that afternoon he came to the house and we ate halibut and some Dungeness crab.... and a little bit of whiskey.....

then he handed me this.

I'm sure there are many on here with the same book, but I've enjoyed reading it and have learned a fair bit too. This one is like new.

Just thought I'd share.

Pete

When I was a kid I read the one I had till it fell apart. I dreamed of living in a trappers cabin in the Adirondacks, I need to get another one just for old times sake.

Mine is 1919 and says 7th edition. Must have made lots of reprints.

It was put out by Fur Fish Game .So most likely they would do reprints if there was enough demand .And I know growing up in the 1960's trapping books where not near as common as they are now .

I have had mine for years and it just says revised edition. It was put out by fur-fish-game and was 50 cents.

I remember as a teenager learning of that book and that the author lived in PA .Than it seemed like it would be a dream come true to be able to have lived and experienced that life style . I am not saying my experience comes close to what he did . But having reached the age where I can now say I have spent 50 years in PA as a hunter and trapper it has been a lot of great times.
