I come across this way because you people that get your panties in a wad over left vs right political lies can't see how you are being played. Greenhouse gases are a very simple concept, and the fact that they are higher than ever, and increasing, at the same time we are nearing a population of 8 billion should tell you something. I'm only 48. I remember snow in Alabama on a regular basis. I remember trapping with ice on the ground with my brother when I was probably 8 or so. In short, stick to the science and stop quoting Brietbart and other sources of garbage. When your done petting your fox,,you can pet Al Gore. Yep, then come around to reality lol. Actually I think you consistently come across the way you do is because your ill mannered and you don't know of what you speak lol. Where's dem FACTS?

Chancy, to answer your question, I shouldn't personally really care. Whatever is happening to earth isn't going to effect me in my lifetime. I've got three kids under 5 years old though and the decisions I make and how I raise them to be ecologically responsible may effect them and will certainly effect their kids. In the big scheme of things humans aren't even a blip on the radar. The earth turned for millions of years without us and it will continue to for millions of years after us. But that doesn't mean we can't be responsible for the short time we are here. This isn't a political ploy from one side or the other, it's a moral decision on my part. Think what you want and do what you want to earth but as for me and my family, we will treat earth with respect because it's been awful good to us so far.

I ran across an article from the Washing Post from 2014. Some of it went like this:
Associated Press television writer David Bauder raised an interesting question Monday, whether the major TV networks are spending too much time on “flashy” weather stories. Unfortunately, in the process, he printed a needless and demeaning cheap shot at Good Morning America’s Ginger Zee, a highly successful and talented broadcast meteorologist.
Bauder, in his piece headlined “Weather porn? Storms take over evening news“, interviewed TV news consultant Andrew Tyndall.
Tyndall, evidently, believes straight weather coverage is too shallow for the major news networks. Rather than straight weather reporting, he argues, networks should frame weather events in the context of climate change. He uses ABC’s Ginger Zee as a pawn to make his point.
Zauder reports:
“If Ginger Zee reported in the role of climatologist rather than meteorologist, I would praise ABC’s ‘World News Tonight’s’ decision as a daring intervention into a crucial national and global debate,” Tyndall said. “Instead, she is more like a pornographer.”
This unflattering portrayal of Zee and her work is uncalled for.

If you believe In evolution I think I was taught many decades ago that all these nasty gases that are suppose to be causing global warming are the same gases that “started” life on the first place. Maybe my memory serves me wrong just throwing this out there

The takeaway from the above Forbes article is the following: The question Cook and his alarmist colleagues surveyed was simply whether humans have caused some global warming. The question is meaningless regarding the global warming debate because most skeptics as well as most alarmists believe humans have caused some global warming. The issue of contention dividing alarmists and skeptics is whether humans are causing global warming of such negative severity as to constitute a crisis demanding concerted action. This distinction is lost on almost everyone who insists that either: 1) the world is coming to an end very soon, and the only way to stop it is by reverting back to a preindustrial mode of existence, or 2) there's a global warming conspiracy perpetrated by scientists who are lying to us, and therefore there is no global warming. It's virtually impossible to get past these two positions, or their offshoots, because each side of the culture war demands unwavering allegiance on this issue.

That's basically what it boils down to, Mainer. I can't say that I'm in either of those camps of "the sky is falling, we'll be dead soon, and it's because of us," or "global warming and climate change are a political hoax."
I see validity in the scientific proof that humans are having an influence on the rapidity of global warming. With that said, I'd like to do my part in being environmentally conscious about how I live my life and the ecological footprint I personally leave, my family leaves, and my actions represent to others. If it turns out that I'm dead wrong about humans having an influence on climate change, then what's the worst that's happened? I've lived my life in frugal, environmentally friendly ways. And what happens if it turns out that I'm right and humans are in fact impacting the speed at which climate change is occurring? Great, I've lived a frugal, environmentally friendly life. I just don't understand what the negative is for believing that there are things I can do in my life to be environmentally responsible. Don't all of you who trap do what you can to help or improve animal populations, preserve and conserve habitat, or encourage others to understand and enjoy the natural world? This has nothing to do with watching the news, weather forecasts, politics, etc. etc. It has to do with how I live my life and how I want to treat our plant.

Only thing I'd add is...........one side is using it for political gain.
