I’ve used them before. In Nevada we would just attach 8 foot of chain to a juniper bough or a basketball size rock with four strands of tightly twisted mechanics wire. Worked real good. I have a couple drags at home, when I get off work I’ll try to post a pic

I've used the Saber's on yotes. They make it 10 yds before the tine digs in. If they're lucky.

Thank you Michael that definitely helps. We won’t run very many but I have a few spots in mind where a critter wouldn’t make it very far.

Beartoothtrapper that was my concern with using drags was having to search the country side for the critter.

What’s standard length of chain on the drag, 8ft?

No worries Getting There, your response makes more sense now. Though I have been known on occasion to tip back a beer that’s as wild as I ever got.

Michael, imissed, thanks for the input sounds like 8-10 ft is the winner

What kind of yeah you looking for ? Like purpose and use wise? You want somthing that's gonna let him run or somthing that's going to lock him down in bare dirt ? Is weight an issue ? You want somthing you can walk the line with a couple of them in your pack basket?knowing what you want it to do and how helps in selection

The sabertooths work great in brushy areas. I use em to preserve the set location, never had anything make it more than 20 yards, but as someone else said , I use stakes in fields.

Wolf dog 91, Wouldn’t want them traveling very far, we would only use when we’re in the brush, weight isn’t an issue we don’t travel far from the truck of side by side. I do like the look of those sabertooths and sounds like they work good.

I use the sabers in a cow pasture and the yotes go nowhere.
