I ran this through the google translator and cleaned it up a bit.

Gfw has not had Facebook videos about skin prices in a short time, I wonder if something in recent weeks has changed markets from bad to worse. It is difficult to know if there is something new with the auctions this next season, I do not know if it advances in wild skins, is it ok? It is still a little early to say?

Dave I haven't heard anything positive on the fur markets to change anything we were told weeks ago. NAFA is definitely in some financial struggles. If you were wise, you'd look into other options soon before you're stuck counting on loans on your fur from them.

Just heard Nafa’s bouncing August sale checks, guessing advances might be out of the question

What I have read is coyotes will remain strong and XXXL and larger northern coon will show some improvement.

Yup. As usual I will make the 5 mile drive to meet Groney's truck. Those checks don't bounce.

I've been hearing about NAFA bouncing checks for a while. Does anyone have personal experience with this, has it happened to anyone here or is it just a rumor?

Eh...wot?

Dave it is my opinion that getting an advance on any fur is a mistake. Why not just go to the bank and get a loan and pay it back after you sell your fur to GFW? Scary. LLL

Talked to Guy at NTA in Missouri and at the fall WTA rondy regarding coon this fall. Message was the same both times. Don't start til November 10th (southern WI) was the start date given. Coon wanted were 3XLs on up but including 2XLs shouldn't drop the overall average too much.

With that advice I'm scratching the itch and running a big coon only river line this season and will continue til Mother Nature kicks me out. Going to sell it all to GFW green and as fast as I can. If at the conclusion of this coon blitzkrieg I average below what I'm hoping for then so be it. Nothing beats running up the river with the bow plowing water due to a load of coon.

Plans for XLs on down are to be put up, tanned, and funneled into the rendezvous trade as Davy Crockett hats. We picked up a fur sewing machine for a song last winter and am looking forward to some winter hat making.

Right now it feels good getting 300+ traps and drowners ready. Haven't felt like this in at least five years. Borderline giddy. Now I'd like to see a delayed winter.

And it can quit raining for awhile. Floats for coon???

I'm taking my NAFA check in this morning. We'll find out soon enough if its good.

I ended up with all my coon gone through NAFA. They included 3 different NAFA coon regions. I broke them down into 2 size groupings, maybe I should follow Muskrat's advice and break them into 3, having 2xl by themselves. Average price is before 9% commission.

3xl- 5xl (only had 1 5xl): $14.27
2xl and smaller (including 1 Lge, first time one of those has gone in a long time): $6.60
Total ave before commission, just under $12

Need to scout out boo coo full wetlands for mrats in October for Nov opener. Haven't done that for a while. Need to find some decent waders and see if a semi-old, semi-fat man can still walk the muck without falling over (much).
