I have a trailer that I used a week ago and the water smells a bit like a bit like sulfur. I flushed it out before using and used a half cup of bleach to clean it. I have flushed it again and still have the smell mostly when I heat the water tank and use the hot water. Any ideas of what it can be?? we have great water here ph 7.5 and very little minerals not sure what to think.

Replace the anode rod

I to will be watching this post. I've tried couple kinds of different things. Tank on my trailer and hot water heater always little skunky smell.. do the bleach thing as a regular and have used the tank stuff they sell. Flushed and refilled. Not sure how old timers kept water for any length time. I can't seem to keep any in my tank log with out issues..

Change the anode rod to a aluminum/zinc one

Thanks talked to my RV dealer and he said to flush with 1/4 cup of bleach per 15 gal of water letting it set for at least 4 hours then go to a Zinc aluminum anode rod. Thanks for the help

Take the anode rod and use it to hammer trap stakes in the ground then replace it with a galvanized steel plug when you winterize it be sure to not put RV antifreeze in the hot water heater bypass it and things will be much better.
Don't forget to use rectorseal on the plug so it can be removed if needed .
