it's hard to tell from the pics. i'd say there getting on the old side. maybe someone else will chime in that has more knowledge than me. don't take my word for it, lol.

the top one looks better than the bottom - but its hard to tell form just pics.

grab one, check it out, they really just get tough as they get old

The top one seemed fresher/younger. It was also about 1/3 the size of the bottom one. The bottom one was about the size of a basketball.

Yes the top one is younger and fresher,great tasting and good texture wish we had them this far north,my brother picked about 30 lbs worth a week ago and shared some with me.Iwas going to pick the last of the honeys last night before our frost Friday night,but with all the rain and flooding we had the road was closed to my honey hole location.
