Hello,
I found this trap in a bucket of mixed traps given to me. Its got a diamond cut out on the pan but the helper spring intrigues me. Im assuming the helper is aftermarket but idk. Its about the size of 1 1/2. I cant read anything on the pan but I also haven't scrubbed on the trap either. Any info on it would be great.
Thanks!

Diamond pan, Triumph XT jaws and a coil spring off a Maytag ringer washer.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Boy that is a dandy! Was it an old Johnny Cash song where the guys was taking parts off the assembly line so he had a 1963, 64, 65, etc Chevy.

Good idea on the coil spring added to the long spring but I can't see that it would compress enough to be able to set it.

Thanks guys for the info. The spring is actually held onto the long spring by a bracket. Sorry for the bad picture ill take a few more when I get home. I haven't tried to set it to see if the jaws compress enough but I cant see why someone would of put it on if it wasn't able to be compressed. So your saying there are no aftermarket springs made similar to this?
