Just watch the outdoor channel and this AD came up with hunting land in MN for sale. Looks like some great hunting properties. I'm surprised at how many there are and wondering how well they sell since there are so many. Interesting looking through some of them.

Who'd want to be in Minnesota among the despicable sportsman and horrible heathens?
The same bums that stood tall and gave as best they could right here on this forum so Montana wouldn't lose its trapping rights. Even tho Minnesota guys cannot trap in MT, they fought hard and gave unselfishly along side all the good trappers here to insure Montanans trapping heritage lives on.

If you own land in MN but are a resident of another state, can you hunt or trap on your property in MN?

Remember animals move J... I will run my cat line this year again and I run an area bigger than 200 square miles at least to get my 5. It may be different for TrapperLes, Rally, Friartuck, and all the other cat guys here but I bet not by much. It's done on snow machine.
Buying land here and having to stay on it to trap wouldn't be overly fruitful unless maybe you bought a big beaver swamp and I bet there are a few of those out there for sale, skeeters thrown in for free.

Interesting properties and looks like some great pieces. Do these type of properties seem to sell in your state or are they a hard sell? I would think they would sell very well with all the sportsman in the twin city's that need a place to trap/hunt.

The trapping laws in in other states close to MN might not be agreeable to most and I see both sides to those laws. Neighboring states know their outdoorsman won't go to MN but MN sportsman will flood the state with trappers. I'm not saying that is the way to judge it but the sportsman in MT wouldn't benefit at all because they aren't going to go to MN and trap.

This isn't on what the thread is about so stay on course if responding to the real estate in MN.

Lots of Affordable Minnesota Swamp land with hunting highground Available. The larger chunk you can buy the cheaper it gets per acre usually. Depending on Location, location, location...

Also the "Sportsmen" from the metro areas flood the closest State land Available and public land gets pretty crowded. Even so only a certain amount of people will buy their own land.

I have been told that waters that are deemed navigable are owned by the state and in such can't be trapped by nonresidents even if they own the land underneath it. Don't know if thats true or not.

I wish I had $1.1 million. There is 290 acres by Blue Rapids, Kansas for sale. The owner has managed it for deer for the past 25 years, and it's produced monster bucks year in and year out.

Looking for lakeshore property myself. Looking for an out of the way lake to build a small cabin to spend the summers in when I semi-retire in 8 years. Planning to go south in the winter.

So I have been pricing land for a couple years and I was a little surprised to see $84,000 for 1.2 acres and it's not even lakeshore, it's just lake access. And it's not on a high-end lake either. TOOOO much.

It’s easy to pay 800.00 per lakeshore foot plus in the north. I can tell you first hand what 735 feet of prime sand lakeshore costs yearly in taxes. Ugly numbers.
Remember always talk to the perspective new neighbors before buying, they know what’s going on there and also who else might be thinking of selling, save fees.

Some MN DNR land auctions, one is a .5 acre on big pine lake. If you could get access to some of the others they could be wonderful properties

Help yourself.

There sure is an abundance of property that looks very nice for the outdoorsman. Prices don't look to bad and there are some larger acreages that appear pretty good but don't really know anything about the area they are in. A description can be deceiving.
