Do any of you guys have one of these bikes? Looking at buying one and was wondering about the hondamatic transmission. I heard the early models had problems with transmissions but from what I have read they fixed that in 2006 with an upgrade. Have a 2000 model 400 foreman but would like an automatic and 2wheel 4wheel selection capability. Thanks

Yep..FWIW..I have a 2003 in the trap shed right now with the Hondamatic Tranny..It is a gear driven bike "No Belts"..It is a mule!!!!!!! I have had ZERO issues with it..As far as the 2wheel 4wheel selection goes..I have a "Warn" lock in and out lever..If you want look in the shed at my bike..look under the right handlebar and you will see it..

I had a 06 with 7000 miles on it, my ECM went, $400 to replace plus maybe another 500 for a motor, traded it on 2019. Overall best quad I ever had. Had 3 so far.

I love my Rubicons. The Hondamatic is the best transmission out there. Shifts smooth as butter. I have a 2007 and a 2008 and they are great. I'm looking to buy a 2014 with low miles. Thats the last year of the hondamatic
