Purchased a Federal Duck Stamp today at a local sporting goods store. Paid cash and was charged an extra $3.00 on top of the $25.00. Was given a temporary piece of paper and was told the stamp would be sent in the mail in a few weeks! Talk about taking a step back with all this new technology malarkey! I should have tried the post orifice I guess! Chris

I got charged the $3.00 fee once also. Ever since I've gone to the post office to get it.

I had to create an account in Wisconsin with the DNR under “go wild”, because the Iowa DNR is still in the Stone Age on these things, so paid to Wisconsin and got the temporary license, then when the real stamp came it was mailed from Texas. I have no idea why and was wondering if anybody had any insight into this, why you pay Wisconsin and the stamp comes out of Texas? Post office has them.Any sporting goods store and even wallmarts have them here.$25,,no extra charges.

Purchased the paper copy from local convenience store and emailed Iowa DNR about how to get actual stamp, reply was that I would receive actual stamp within 45 days of purchase. Still waiting. Don't your post offices have them.

Don't your post offices have them. My mistake, it was the Iowa state stamp that I purchased at my local convenience store. My local post office did have the Federal stamp by mistake, he didn't order them in but was sent several hundred dollars worth of them. His plan was to send them back when he was sure no one wanted any so as not to have the inventory on the books. If I took one he was not able to send back for credit. I told him I would check back to see if he had broke the seal for anyone else. Not a fowl hunter any more, was just buying state and federal so the revenue could benefit wildlife.
