I placed an order from Minnesota trapline yesterday morning and my package was shipped by the end of the day. I live in Wisconsin and from what I hear the package should only take 1 day to arrive. I'm not sure if speedee delivers on weekends or not and I don't trust a delivery guy on my property without me being here. Just wondered if I should wait around all day not knowing if they will come or if I should be safe to leave for the day

Lol over react much? It's not that I don't trust the delivery guy.. I just don't trust anybody, especially a complete stranger who is probably a drop out if delivering for speedy.. and i don't want a dog to shred an innocent person to shreds but rather to make a person think twice before playing games. My dog would only shred a person apart when that person is no longer innocent

How would your dog know if a person was innocent or not? Serious question.

I have a garage that's 47 feet from my house that has an over hanging roof. Plenty of options for dropping off a package without coming to the house door.. if I chain a dog up so it can't reach more than 20 feet from the house then comon sense would tell any delivery driver to drop the package under the roof and to stay away from the house.. and honesty, I don't care.. after all my goal is to drive people away and if someone is dumb enough to come close enough to attack then they can sue me, I'm not worth anything anyway.

There are people who own delivery routes as they are subcontracted. Most subcontracted delivery contracts have size minimums meaning you have to invest a certain amount to get them. More often than not that is a 7 figure number these days depending on region.
Often as an owner you have to cover for your guys when they are sick, on vacation etc. That is not an easy job to begin with for the hard working regular guy, or maybe his boss who is filling in, the guy who ponies up the 7 figures to get you your package and employ these hard workers.

Thanks for the explanation. Our family used to have a biting dog running loose outside. That's why this thread struck me as funny, I didn't mean anything personal about it. I'm sorry if you took it that way.

Unless you have given specific instructions for your packages to be placed other than at your door, they are not allowed to leave them other than at your door. That must all be arranged ahead of time.

Speedy Delivery is very Dependable. They do Deliver on Saturday's. Next time leave the shipper special instructions of where you want the package placed.And make that spot easily accessible to the Delivery Guy.

It sounds like your property is worth a buck or two.

You had better invest in some signs, and take the time to pass on those delivery instructions with every shipment you expect.

FYI to the TMan Welcoming Committee. Our surprise "welcome wagon" visit to Kingcuda's residence has been cancelled. We're still looking for a volunteer to quickly drop off the gift basket.

For most delivery outfits there is a transfer depot every 150 miles or so on average. if a guy doesn’t like the delivery person, you can go pick up your own.

I know a lot of delivery drivers that carry dog treats.

I carry pepper spray and .45acp.

An interesting side story:
One of my sons is a letter carrier. He used to put a doggie sticker on the fender of his car for every dog he maced.

mainer can speak for himself. I don't work for Speedy, but, do the same thing, as an independent contract delivery driver. I happen to be a retired engineer. Not the drop out your sick mind imagines.

If you order something and give an address for delivery, you have, at the very least, implied consent for someone to come onto your property for that purpose. But, of course, being so much smarter than any moron driver, you probably already know that. If that driver happened to be me, you had better be a gracious recipient, or expect a new lesson in life. Suck it in, and hide the meth lab/still/pot plants/whatever long enough to accept your delivery, or spend the time and money to go pick it up yourself.

If I had your name and/or address you would be on my blacklist. I have absolutely no desire to service some one that doesn't trust me for no reason whatsoever.
