Should be a good thing. They should migrate by mow. Feeders keep a lot of them around too late and they die in a late migration attempt.

Amazing to me that there are no hummingbirds in western Europe. I've never seen one.

I leave mine up through part of Sept for the northern end of the line flights . Those last coming from N Canada and AK.

I do get those on their way through . They stay at the feeders and drink like there's no tomorrow for a couple days, resting up and fueling up. Then off they go south.

I'm glad to give them a boost on their way. By the time the late fliers get to this area there's no flowers, and few small bugs depending on the frost hits . This season the frosts came hard and early ....mid to low 20's at night , from mid Sept on to present , mostly.

Gone here I think as of Oct. 1st. this year. I miss the little guys already.
Nothing like those fellows to let you know it is spring or fall.
I am outside quite a bit and over the years have only came across one active nest.
2 or 3 little ones and a concerned mother is pretty amazing.
I think some of you folks have other varieties than the ruby throated guys that come to Wisconsi,
