Have any of you guys sold any of the West Point (W) minted quarters of 2019. I was curious what they are fetching ungraded out of the wrapper?

I wish I knew this last week. I had 2 of them. I wondered why Guam was on a quarter and thought maybe they were making US Territory quarters.

They are making US territory quarters, there are six territories.

As Horse Creek said they have to have the W mint mark. If you find one in your pocket change its hard to say what condition could be. The people selling on eBay are most likely buying and searching rolls of quarters at first issue and going through them before they go into circulation

Let me get this straight..... you are selling brand new quarters on Ebay for as much as a whole roll???? Some people are really stupid. How do they figure there is profit in that. We did this with the state quarter's a few years ago and look where that is now.

It's not the same thing. The mintage on the W quarters is 2 million for each of the five series for the year. It sounds like a lot but it isn't. They will most likely mint 2 billion of the p and d series combines, so that one W series for every 200 PandDs combined. I know it still sounds like a lot but once one realize that the majority of the W quarters will see circulation decreasing their value it's not so hard to understand how it's possible that people are paying so much for a collector coin. It's not any old W that is bringing that money. They need to be in BU uncirculated condition, basically taken right out of the first roll they ever encountered and never in someones pocket.

I haven't looked for any this year, I should stop at the bank and buy 1000 dollars worth.
