I am the owner of a small machine shop. We have been contacted by a place called govgistics. They claim they can provide us with access to government jobs to quote. We are registered to work for the government but not ISO 9000. Has anyone heard of them and know if this is legitimate.

online jobs for the govt should be free to access - I would be a bit nervous about someone contacting you about govt opportunities - I have never seen that and have been involved in quite a few contracts

I know nothing of that particular company, but there are a LOT of industries where if you don't have the proper contacts, you have zero chance of even being able to submit a quote for a government job. Let alone landing a contract. We've hired people specifically because they had the contacts to get information regarding gov jobs that most others didn't. My guess is they're legit, there are numerous companies out there doing the same thing. Whether they're good at it or not, I have no idea.

After just a quick internet search, it appears they are a legit company.

If you are interested in dealing with them however, I would look up a contact number and contact them directly.

Unfortunately in todays world, I would be wary to deal with anyone contacting me claiming to be from any company.

They will help you go through paperwork and will filter the jobs based on what you want to do. That is our problem we work for an ammunition plant . It is good work and pays well but other than that we have no contacts in the government. They claim they can tell you what the bids were on previous jobs. I checked some of the companies they listed for references and they are legitimate companies.

Larrywaugh brought up a good point I forgot. In addition to having the contacts, knowing the paperwork process is HUGE with some government jobs. There are very specific processes that must be followed to get a quote in. Maybe check their Linkedin page, surely they have one. It should be able to supply you with past customers.
