U.S companies catering to China. Legitimate actions or just political statements? Or is it just about the money....

Money and China makes the Apple products. It would be a fool's errand to upset the government of the country where you have your factories. Simple as that imo

All about the money. One if the reasons movies are horrible these days is they're more targeted to the Chinese and overseas markets than us.

Sniper, thats ridiculous LOL, movies are bad today because there is no more imagination left or creativity in making new ones, every one is a take off of another one already done !

However it is about the money, everything is about the money !

It's political communist are in control if you're in there country you do what they want . it's like the USA before Trump . Democratic socialist communists not much different.

Look at revenues of bad movies and look at how well they perform overseas vs here. 70-80% of revenue comes from overseas. What they make is a bit dubious as the studios share is less over there.

Sniper, did you even stop to think that those people don't have a wealth of selection and obviously have a different mind set than over here. Plus they like movies of any kind, there is a culture over there to watch those that are bad here as well, it's all entertainment to them regardless. LOL Besides that makers don't care where they make the money, if a new star is found over there, they will end up making movies here sooner or later. Look how many of them wacked Godzilla movies have been made LOL they do good every where and none of them are even remotely as thrilling as the very first one.

They do have bad taste and a lot of stuff gets censored out....the original star wars took 40 years to be shown in China...

More than just that one app!

They have also started working on rating their citizens using these tech companies.

Some folks just got kicked out of a basket ball game for holding signs saying Free Hong Kong because China was offended! Yet their player can pee all over our national anthem and flag!

Capitalism is alive and well and many times has very strange bedfellows, but it is the system we prefer and are used to navigating in.

I agree Bryce that capitalism is the preferred system. I guess because of my beliefs I have a problem with folks selling out the innocent for their " 30 pieces of silver."
