California adopts nation's broadest gun seizure laws

One of the bills, which expands a so-called "red flag" law to allow co-workers, employers and educators to seek gun violence restraining orders against firearms owners they fear are a danger to themselves and others, was vetoed twice by Newsom's predecessor, Jerry Brown.

Newsom also signed a companion bill allowing the gun violence restraining orders to last one and five years, although the gun owners could petition to end those restrictions earlier. The bill also allows judges to issue search warrants at the same time as they grant the orders. The warrants can be used immediately if the gun owners are served with the relinquishment orders but fail to turn over the firearms or ammunition.

I was reading that earlier. It's scary. California needs to leave the union.

I am not surprised, this law is moving across the country, by this time next year most state will have some kind of red flag law. It is just getting started. JMO

Needs to be taken to the Supreme Court. No way it can stand,. None of these Red flag laws, they are all unconstitutional on many levels.

Time for a SCOTUS case on violations of civil liberties and a multi million dollar punitive judgment. Bet it wouldn’t be hard to find a good pro 2amendment legal eagle that would work pro bono or a portion of the settlement.

I think that soon the only way Americans will maintain their God given and Constitutional Right to bare arms is if they show they are willing to use them.

So what happens when the liberals gain control of the Supreme Court and pass extremely restrictive bans on firearms? It's going to happen soon because we have allowed the liberals to gain control of most US education and media. Those liberal appointed judges will support the unconstitutional firearms restrictions. Just because a liberal Supreme Court then rules restrictive bans are constitutional does not mean they truly are. Good, true Americans are going to have to do things they don't want to do or allow America, as it should be, to die.

James it appears to me that you are trying to protect the Democrat ran state of California. It matters not what Trump said/suggest, because he's wrong too. The fact is California has become about as anti freedom as you can get to folks who frequent this site. From trapping and selling fur to gun ownership, the type of governance of CA is the enemy of such folks who frequent this site. Those who know the thrill of the chain rattle or the self provided security of firearm ownership. If you too are a gun owner or trapper, you should in no way support such governance no matter your dislike of the POTUS. CA is lost and a fine example of what this country does not need.
