My wife yammers on constantly. I don't always actually listen, but I find it sorta comforting and am happy she still wants to talk to me.

Again I am not speaking ill of my wife but I just wish she would just give me the highlights of her day in a 30 second clip . She also takes a medication that makes her a bit hyper. Instead of focusing that energy into mowing the lawn , skinning yotes or something even better . She talks even more and jumps from one thing to the next . She also has an uncanny ability to tell me something completely unimportant during exciting moments in a football game or race . It could be 4th in goal on the 1 yard line with 5 seconds left to win the super bowl. She'll stand in front of the TV and tell me we need lightbulbs for the mud porch light . Lol dont think I could live life without her though.

Imagine that, keeping an all night kinda woman around the place who won't at least skin coyotes. Something as simple as mowing the lawn is a prerequisite for even a visiting gal no? Never lower your standards.
Then again if she can fetch up a good meal on time...

Been married to the same fine woman for 46 years. If she left, I would be an absolute BUM in 30 seconds......

"it's a lazy man that can't take the time to find his wife a second job" is still my favorite quote of all time on t-man.

Been married 35 years. Unfortunately, that was three different wives.... Upshot is, don't take suggestions on that matter from me?

Mormons are Christians....They only worship Jesus Christ...Everyone thinks that they worship Joseph Smith and Brigham Young, but that is pure ignorance.

42 years this past May. She has put up with a lot, but nonetheless, when I need a break, I'll say to her 'did you hear that?'..........she'll answer 'hear what?' I'll answer "Quaaaack!"

On rare occasions, when I want her to know I don't want to listen anymore, I'll stick my index finger into my right ear. I'm deaf in my left ear laugh

My wife has this particular talent... She knows the exact moment when I am engrossed in a YouTube video about shooting, woodworking, leatherwork, etc... And the little alarm goes off in her head and she MUST tell me about her day concerning her friend Jenny's second cousin's friend Sandy... blah, blah, blah...

So I pause the video and politely listen to a rambling incoherent 3 minute riddle that has no clear outcome...

Finally she will end the story and walk back into the kitchen. This is a trap. And I fall for it. Every. Time.

As soon as I push play and resume the video she will walk back in to the living room and begin the next chapter of the story that was her day.

If you've never seen the music video of Toby Keith's "I wanna talk about me" I recommend you watch it. It's very accurate to all of our situations.

She has an almost impressive trait of blathering for hours on end from when she gets home to when we go to bed about the most unimportant aspects of her day no matter what I'm trying to do. Then when I try to give her a helpful suggestion she loses her mind. Lots of them need to accept they can't control everything and sometimes they're the problem for their troubles.

Maybe it is newer marriage and being young. That’s what everyone tells us anyway. But man, I have an awesome wife. Been together for 10 years. Wasn’t out of high school yet. Been married for four years and just had our first - a little girl - a month ago. I was given a “speech” just last night that I’m not to give up trapping this year. she doesn’t want me to stay out of cell range too long or out too late but no quitting. It helps that she’s a trapper too and said the hard part for her is she will be jealous not getting to trap. I have a newer spot within 2 miles of the house so I may hit it this year to help the landowner. Still can’t see being gone any amount of unnecessary time, though.

From what I've heard, one never wants to have an odd number of wives as they team up and the one left out comes after you.
