With more and more states going to the direction with red flag laws, I am wondering if this law will ever make it to the United States Supreme Court. Any lawyers on here with an opinion?

It will eventually and the SCOTUS will have to hear it since it tramples about 5 amendments.

I'm no lawyer, but I stayed in a Holiday Inn Express once lol. It's a given, it will end up in the SC.

My guess is that red flag laws will eventually reach the supreme court. But they won't make rule on all red flag laws everywhere, only the specific law in the case before them, and how they rule will depend on the specifics of the law. Constitutional rights can be taken away through due process, they'll have to decide what that due process looks like.

What I don't understand is that these so called law makers come up with laws that are blatantly agains the constitution that they have sworn to protect. They get away with just throwing a bunch of crap up in the air in the hope that something sticks. The ones that come up with this stuff should be removed from office and locked up. Then this nonsense would stop in double quick time, but they just keep getting away with this bs.

Let's go Brandon

It would seem to me that, attempting to create a law, applicable to the second amendment, is by definition, subversive.

I'm sick of this garbage. Let's really solve the problem.
