Tony, Ztraps makes a retrievable earth anchor that looks like a wolf fang.

Ron Marsh might still make a retrievable cable stake. I know he used to. And it was adjustable also. I have used a lot of them over the years and they last many seasons if you take care of them. Might be worth looking into for some of you guys. He is on here and on FB.

I went back to earth anchors and super stakes this past season. Rebar is awesome for retrieval in dead of winter frozen solid dirt around here, but cable and anchors are oh so much light to carry. Ain't getting old and weak either, just saying... grin

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Don't forget the 2nd nut and cable to make them easily retrievable!

I’m a do-it-myself sort of guy when I can but you guys are spending way too much time and money on these things. The last time (a year ago) I bought 100 Berkshire heavy duty disposables, they were $0.38 each. Cable and ferrule costs are the same for most of us. A pointed end rebar driving stake works well. Even with shipping cost 100 Berks are cheaper than buying pipe and welding the nuts on.

I’ve made plastic pipe disposable drowners and they worked ok for coon. But time and energy spent was way more than what I have into home made stakes with Berk ends.
