I do not watch very much but they sure looked like a pretty good team yesterday.
Was snowing and raining here, so a pretty good afternoon to have a little fire and take it easy.
Patrice's famdamily was over and we made venison loin and garden vegetables shishkabobs on the grill.
Sister in law made an outstanding blueberry cheesecake for dessert.

The Ohio State will be a challenge in 2 weeks. They also play Illinois next week, and they just beat Michigan this weekend. Haven't had a chance to watch a game but listened to last week's on the radio when Taylor scored I think 5 touchdowns. I see they up to No. 6 in the AP polls. Lots of season left to play, but they seem to have a very well rounded team this year.

They sure are fun to watch! Playing for love of the game rather than a paycheck.

Seems like Michigan is our lap dog be it State or University.

I watched about 2.5 quarters and the did play well. Really nice to see a balanced offense with a stellar defense. Yes Ohio State will be a real challenge.

Those Badgers look mighty tuff, very good defense. OSU vs Wisconsin should be a good one.

I'm sure most of the players would love to get paid. If they are not already?

I'm sure there are some bennies.

Do you think the not paid line men will still block for the star running backs and the QBs when they start getting paid.

I guess you could say getting a 100K scholarship for playing a game instead of academics in secondary education is somewhat of a payment.

Athletic scholarships vary considerably as to amounts and numbers for larger schools. Division 111 schools are not even allowed to offer athletic scholarships, which is one reason many athletes will go to large schools even if they don't play as much as they get some funds to cover their costs. This makes division 111 schools where the sports are pretty pure as the athletes are competing for the love of the game and no monetary or tuition type benefits.

In my humble opinion that is why lesser talented athletes, therefor teams are division 3?

Yes I agree, did not mean to imply they were better athletes just that playing sports in division 111 is extra curricular activities that students add to their loads and work if needed. Some may have academic scholarships and play sports as well.

Not much difference between div III and div II other than schools who don't want to give free rides and schools who do.

OK all of Badger fans. Please tell me what happened in the Northwestern game? I am so far from any real football coverage all I saw was the final score.
Please don't tell me that when I get my Rose Bowl tickets I am not going to watch the Badger's Crush some poor Pack 12 team.
Thanks

You have to understand that I live 40 miles from Washington State University Cougars, I know what it is to choke in a game. Nationally known as "Couging" a game.
Thanks
