I have some ferrules to crimp on some duck decoy lines, wondering if some one could tell me the swage hole diameter for crimping double ferrules on 1/8 cable. These are thin alluminum ferrules if it makes a differance. Smashing them hasn't been reliable and a swage is on the list to eventually get but just not the time for it. I figure I may be able to make a jig to fit in the vise that may suffice for now.

You can get a swage gauge to check to be absolutely sure but I think 1/8 the diameter should be .265" after swaging.

Some folks awhile back made their own using a set of cheap bolt cutters. Tack jaws together and drill a hole then grind off the tack. I used one for a spell but have since bought a bench mounted.

I bought a pretty nice hand swager the size of bolt cutters at Lowes. It works great. I now have a bench mount but glad I have the hand held for backup or if I need to take one in the field.
