Thought I'd start one for a first. I've been trying to shed a few pounds lately and eat out of what's left in the garden.

Rice and flax seed with the neighbor's bacon and swiss chard. Not decadent but pretty darn good.

Today my wife made rabbit in a white wine sauce with mushrooms, shallots and carrots, and I washed it down with this...

It's a great IPA brewed in CA that they are starting to sell in Europe.

Hope you all eat well today.

Pete

Run... all the French beef I've ever eaten is grass fed. No finishing whatsoever.

Not many oxen around anymore either so I'm sure it just comes from the same steers they are butchering.

When I'm in the states I love to eat US rib eyes to remember the great taste of corn finished beef. Through my buddy in Alberta I learned they finish their beef on barley and it definitely gives it a different taste.

Popcorn and a modello.

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
