I have used floor wax in the past. Works pretty good. Not a soft as wax you melt in a pot, but still effective in coating and protecting a trap.

I read and screenshot the same thread. I did a couple dozen a few weeks ago. I’m gun shy on trying new things, but they look great. Dipped them 2 times 24 hours apart. I’m looking forward to seeing how it preforms. Tuff to beat a good wax job, but we’ll see

What's the process for dipping in the floor wax? Do you dye first? Need the wax to be at a certain temp? I have a few dozen 1.5 coil springs to prep for rats before next weekend and was going to just dye and wax the old fashioned way, but may give this a try instead. I was doing some traps one of my boys bought last year. I just power washed them. Let them dry and dipped them. Like I said above I dipped them twice. My Zeps was the same thing, but in a yellow bottle.

I use acrylic concrete cure and seal on water traps. How does it hold up? Does it chip easily?

I have a few that were dyed but most were just acetone dipped 50:50 with Rustoleum Rusty Metal Primer.

I tried that cheap crap on floors, had to redo a 1,100$ floor because it has poor quality, , my wax mop gets corroded from the wax, water softens and ruins the wax

I dip every foothold trap I have in Zepps. My coyotes don't care either. I love the stuff.

Tried that acrylic floor wax when it first came out. Worked OK until got cold. It looked like a glitter explosion when it went off without a catch. I now do the tree bark and wax route.
