Got a fresh batch of Bridger dogless #2 offsets and have read the offsets are a touch too wide. They seem about 1/16” wider than my mb550’s. I am targeting fox as well as coyotes. Will that wider gap cause pullouts from fox? If so how do I modify them?

Being as I use the dogged version of bridger 2s ill weigh in. Their factory offsets have trouble holding my pinky through a glove. Getting it off was an adventure i don think you will have to much trouble. Ofclurse I may be wrong.

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?

I use alot of dogless num 2s they should hold just fine. If you are worried you can just file or grind down the up right portion of the jaws down just above the debri gap all the way to the where the offset starts on both sides. This should close the gap of the offset.

I have not had any red fox pull out of mine. I did catch them all above the pad though.

Don't compare everything to an mb550. The Bridger #2 will hold any thing you wish to catch

I narrowed the off set on my bridger dogless #2's I was having a few pullouts from coon as for fox I believe there just fine as is. I made a jig out of a 2x4 to hold the trap open to grind down the off set. My off set now is about the same as a 550 or duke

They have some cheap pan bolts. Broke two trying to adjust the pan on dogless Got some hard bolts and fixed that problem.
