"Nationwide, however, fur sales are on the rise. U.S. fur sales hit $531 million last year, reaching a 17-year high, according to the market-research firm Euromonitor International. That’s up from $337 billion in 2014"

Didnt know 531 million would be up from 337 Billion.

It also said second-hand items are exempt. Sounds like all the fur sellers just need to rebrand their items as second-hand and go on selling.

I keep getting a 403 forbidden error when I click on the link. Some days I hate computers.

Which state's law?

K snow, try this link. https://www.marketwatch.com/story/c...cans-seem-to-get-enough-of-it-2019-10-23

I believe they're talking about the new California law.

"The new law exempts ........... fur products used for religious purposes."

Genesis 3:21
Unto Adam also and to his wife did the LORD God make coats of skins, and clothed them.

Problem solved.

So no farmed fur?? Or do the farmers have to have a hunting license. Seems pretty easy for someone to buy a small game or deer license and be ok to sell farmed fur.

Life sure is tough when you don't learn from the mistakes of others.

Sounds like there are a lot of grey areas in that law, which is not surprising.

Hopefully it gets challenged before it goes into effect, or after. Heck, even the governor's wife loves wearing fur.

Would be hard to distinguish 2nd hand. Buy fur articles in AZ and sell them as 2nd hand in CA.

Actually what was the final word on trapping in California

You may think before you act. The question is did you listen to your own council?
