Warriors post this weekend inspired me! Just wondering what everyone did today. I worked on a irrigation nightmare. 12 to 10 then to 8 plus the well hookup. Glad its done. 2 more to go!

I answered emails for half a day, then I took my son to a doctors appointment. It went well.
Looks like a good job you did there. Keep up the good work

Started off getting my thumb snapped in a NO B S 1.5. That was amusing can't wait to get them in the ground. Don't suspect any pullouts after what it did to me. Then worked on a deer feeder I need to get hung and running this weekend. Finished changing the fuel pump on the 87 Toyota 4x4 I won 2 holloweens ago. She's good as new and ready for the season.

Took a boat and pontoon off a lake today. Normally this is a piece of cake but not so much today with 30 mph winds with gusts up to 50. Not my boats or would have waited for better weather. Older couple and it just had to be done today.....

Bolted up flanged pipe, mostly 6 on some H2S gas busters, replaced manway hatch gaskets on a chemical tank. Got a couple 500 barrel tanks ready for valves and plumbing. Nothing exciting

Started out (yesterday) hauling a load of 3 inch base rock to a company called old castle. They are expanding their staging area and the rock is for a road. Spent the rest of the day hauling dirt to them. Good black KS top soil. Its run through a machine that grinds clods and removes any rocks bigger than sand. They mix cattle manure that has composted for a couple years into it. Then its dried and bagged. Sold at Walmart, Lowes, Home Depot and others. Some is just called topsoil and some potting soil. They ship out well over a hundred tons a day of bagged dirt. This plant also does peat moss and mulch but dirt is the money maker.

Today, I set 744 quail eggs and around 30 chicken eggs. I pulled and froze some quail eggs that were just finishing hatching. I wheelbarrowed and dumped manure. I made 2 quarts of bread and butter pickles that are mostly onion, 3 pears and 2 small cucumbers that grew from a cucumber, that I threw out as compost in the Spring.
Keith Stupid question from a cattle guy. Why did you freeze hatched eggs??

Keith Stupid question from a cattle guy. Why did you freeze hatched eggs?? I sell the eggs that did not hatch wholesale for 10 cents each, to my main buyer, who resales them and retail, for 20 cents each, to people who feed the quail eggs to reptiles. I have a $20.00 minimum purchase. It beats just dumping them on my egg dump. Keith

Thanks for the explanation Keith. Very interesting You're welcome. There was at least one company selling frash, cleaned eggs for feeding ovivorous reptiles. I think I was the first to think of selling incubated eggs that did not hatch to feed ovivorous reptiles. Reptile prefer a stinkier egg. Keith
