Maybe look at this and see if they come to your area last year the larger ones paid good but the low end killed the average. https://www.gfwco.com/fur-market-news

Thank you! They do come somewhat close (45 miles) so I will call them and talk with them about pricing for coons and what they are looking to buy. If it works out I will just save them up in the freezer and make a trip when it is worth it. Being from Nebraska I would think you got a petska route near you as well. You can check their website as well. Depending on where you are at in Nebraska you might be able to take it right to them.

If a buyer starts making faces and tells you how many coon he as in storage then your not going to get much of an offer most likely.

If you are South of I-80, your coon won't be worth much. 125 miles North of there will be better, meaning they might be saleable.

I take what I get. Coon are our bread and butter in SE nebraska. Our coyotes aren't as nice as ones in north and out west, but we do have a good coon. Wait to start until after Thanksgiving for quality coon, too. Our season here for coon starts almost a month too soon in my opinion. Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.
