I have several traps that are waxed and I want to remove it.

Directions say not for aluminum or metal alloys.

My pot is aluminum. Can I use it?

I'm guessing no.

Boiling in hot water and using logwood dye has always removed all the wax off my traps. Just remember to float off all the trash before you pull the traps up. I boil mine with a rolling boil for an hour.
