I was looking at some old fur shed photos, in the past I would pickup anywhere from 8-10 Grey Fox per year on average, never targeted them but would get them in fox and yote sets. I bet it's been 5 years since I caught the last one and haven't really changed sets or location a lot. I trap in NW Wisconsin but wondering if anyone else has seen a decline in numbers?

Yes -- but how is your coyote population doing -- thats what took out our reds.

We have a healthy Coyote population but I thought a Grey would co-habitat better than a red based on their tree climbing ability.

I do think that the grey's cohabitate better than the reds, but at some point it is a numbers game. There are also many other factors that play into this and farming practices are a huge factor. I don't know what your area is like but i can imagine that wisconsin has a huge amount of small dairies going out of business. How is that changing things? are they going to crops, houses, or just bigger dairies?
