...here in southeast Idaho. Went trapping. No wind, didn’t feel that bad. How’s the trapping weather in your area?

low 80s here today. Got rain coming in for the next few days. I always have good luck when it rains as long as it isnt hard enough to wash out my sets.

Been right at freezing here and with the high water going has been tough.

I have nothing clever to put here.

Low of 13 degrees tonight actual temp paired with gusts of 45 MPH. Should get some critters moving. Checking 16 coyote sets in the morning.

I was complaining about 25 degrees and 1/4 to 1/2 inch of ice and I see some of you would welcome those temps. Shelf ice can sure change ones slow water trap line however.

31 degrees for a high today in Northern MN. Coldest October I remember in a long time. The coon and coyote I have caught so far have been fully prime

I'm assuming you're serious. Stanley is not too far to the west of me. I spent a lot of time as a youngster up there. Indeed, when winter sets in, Stanley is often the coldest weather station in the state. Usually quite a bit of snow as well. Two springs ago, I was going through that country in early June and still about 7 feet of snow through Banner Pass just to the west of Stanley. Nice country.

65 here today and sunny. Supposed to be a high of 40 on Sunday with a chance of snow, maybe get things moving.

Stanley is about 4000 feet higher than Sandpoint. While Sandpoint is farther north elevation obviously matters. Stanley is often the coldest area in the nation especially in the summer. I live near Sandpoint and we usually don't make ice until mid December.

Well I wasnt trapping but it was about 16 in Island Park today about noon and windy with snow blowing. Sure makes work fun when you are chaining machines down on trailers. Snowing now with a little wind and down to about 12 here at my house. Dont mind the cold but could live without the wind. Be nice to have the ice for some some of my beaver spots.
I have froze a few times sleeping on the ground there in Stanley in July. Mighty pretty country but it does get chilly.
