Was given some horse meat and about a gallon of brains this weekend. My dog really shows an interest in them and I figure coyotes might also. Anyone here use brains as bait or in making bait?

Yes. A top shelf base for a bait or side ingredient. Brains get the best reaction of all the bases I've tested. They are naturally very weather resistant also.

I tainted them 10 days per the Boss's instructions but next I might try some a little longer. I tried 4 different kinds and I think brains are brains. The bulk of them where pig because of the availability .

Thanks for the info. Haven't decided what I'm going to do with them but figure later this winter or spring will start on it.
