I used small styrofoam cups last season with good results. Wet conditions. I have bigger ones that cover all trap fit tight. Is that problem coon smell bait an remove if tight on trap ?

A small piece of tinfoil works. It’s cheap, and if they decide to chew it up, it’s better than pieces of styrofoam everywhere.

I have some large strawberry flavored marshmallows that I was going to try last year but never got around to it

I used plastic cups last year and finally just removed them when I did I felt my catch went up. I will still use them but only when I know that rain is coming, I believe that hole helps get them curious then they smell food and then they're caught.
