Today is the first day of trapping season. She let out a big WHOO HOOO and said then now I'm a widow. And I said "what" , and she said they dont call us trapping widows for nothing, I'm not going to see you for the whole season. Now I feel I'm going to have to make this up to her somehow.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I think the whoo hooo sums it up, lol.
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Do you have a bunk in your trapping shed?

You’re good! My wife says the same thing. She just knows that you love it so much, and she is happy to support your interests.
And yes, you need to make that up in the off season. Whatever that is....

Well i know I’m going to have to remodel one of our bathrooms, but that’s so I can go to Alaska again for a week. 3 months of trapping might cost me a swimming pool that she’s wanted, or a second bathroom done.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

Cougarw my mrs told me she was glad it was starting soon because our garage was starting to look like a hoarder lives here. Buckets and buckets of traps and other stuff, barrels of waxed dirt, jugs of all kinds of baits and lures, etc. She said she cant wait for it to start clearing out of here! Jim
Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

I know there are other guys like me but my wife loves trapping season as much if not more than me. When I got back into trapping 5-6 years ago she got introduced to it and really liked it. In fact for two years she put up 100% of my furs. I trapped and she cleaned skinned and boarded all of them. I do some of it now and she refuses to do skunks and possum anymore but she is good at it. Quite a bit more patient than i am. Living in Wyoming now but per law we are not residents so we could only afford one license (non-resident) this year. She is certainly missing it. She rides along and watches but doesn't partake. It is sucking for her. I told her i would buy her a license and we could skimp the money away from other avenues to afford it and she said not to worry about it. I am going to do it for her anyways. I just need to come up with the $250 for the permit. It will likely have to come out of the rhino tire budget. They are bald but i can patch them again and run tubes and chains to get through the season. With the move and new furniture and what not it will be tight this year. We are pretty frugal anymore.
