Some time ago there was a thread about getting rid of warts with duct tape, can somebody THAT DID IT, tell me how well it worked, how it's done, and how long it takes? Thanks.

I had a big wart on my cheek, guess from kissing too many toads, but tried the duct tape thing. It set it back a lot, but everytime I thought it was done, and left the duct tape off a few days and back it come! Finially went and had it cut off, was tired of looking at it!

My son gets what i think they called plantar warts on the bottoms of his feet. real bad at times. We took him to the doctor and I was kinda flabbergasted when he said the best thing to do it to take a shower dry your feet good and then cover the bottoms of your feet with duct tape. I was like seriously in this day and age of technology and lasers and everything we are going to go Red Green on the warts. Well it was pretty dang cool. It does not cure or rid all of them but in just days it significantly reduced the numbers from maybe hundreds to a few stragglers. those then could be treated with wart remover or removed by the doctor depending on location. I could not really believe it and to this day really don't understand why. I suppose a quick google search could give me the science behind it but it works for 85%-90% of bad plantar warts verified.

OK so here's my story, I had a huge one on the bottom of my foot that wouldn't go away with freezing or acid (both of these hurt like the dickens and I would not ever try again). Somehow I heard about this "Duck tape" cure and I thought "what the hey" it sure won't hurt as bad. I put the tape on the bottom of my foot and sort of forgot about it for several days. I showered with it on and everything. When I took it off my wife was standing next to me and nearly fainted. No I had to catch her, it was that bad. On the bottom of the duck tape was an inverted wart that was approx 1-1/4" long. It kind of looked like a white baby carrot. The hole in the bottom of my foot never bled or anything. It was completely healed over in about a week. The wart never came back and that was that. I highly recommend this technique because it doesn't hurt and you can walk on it the entire time. But hey I'm no Dr.!

I had several on my fingers tried duct tape no help . I then had doctor freeze them still came back . Then the doctor lasered them still came back after 600 dollars spent. I then took a scalpel and cut them off still no good. Finally I went to drugstore and bought some wart remover used it every day for several weeks warts went away and never came back.

Had one on the bottom of my foot years ago. Tried all the over the counter stuff with no luck. Took a razor blade to it several times with no luck. An older guy at work suggested the duct tape. I bet I kept the tape on for 2-3 weeks. It was an ugly looking white spot when I finally removed the tape, but the wart was gone and never came back

I used two different methods of removal with liquid, then patches, about 4 months straight, still came back

Have a real doozy on my waist right on the belt line that's driving me crazy. Been wearing a DT patch for a week and no joy so far. Went from very hard and annoying to very pale and soft, but is still there. Guess I'll change the duct tape and go some more. Thanks all.

After reading all this I went out to my shop and got some duct tape. I've had Plantar's warts for years, most the time they don't bother me much, but lately they have been somewhat painful. I now have duct tape on the bottom of my foot.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.

When I was a kid I had probably 25 warts on my hands. I got a series of 5 or six small pox shots, It took maybe 2 months for them to go away. Never had a wart since. That was probably somewhere in the early 70s. I doubt they would do that anymore but it worked for me.

My son had quite a few warts when he was 5 or 6. Doctor suggested tagamet. He took it for a while and we didn't even notice that the warts cleared up. I was getting him dressed for bed one night and noticed they were gone. Wife hadn't noticed either. Weird but it seems to work.

The duct tape works just like acid and freezing does. It irritates your body to the point that the white blood cells start attacking the wart and removes it. Use a piece just big enough to cover the wart. Maybe a little bigger every day until it goes away. Once it’s gone keep using it for a week or two. Warts are contagious and can spread anywhere they cal get into the skin.

I had one on each foot and they hurt put duct tape on it with wart remover for a week or so, then took a disposable razor went over it to take the dead skin off and it worked just fine.

My daughter had several on her hands. I had heard REAL ginseng was a cure for warts. I got some directly from a WI grower. She took the capsules for about 6 months. She's been wart-free ever since. That was when she was in high school. She's 43 now.
