If illegal aliens knew they would without a doubt suffer severe consequences for invading our country, almost no illegal aliens would attempt it. We would have many billions of dollars more to spend on American problems.

I agree that the idea of shooting anyone trying to cross a so-called smart wall is a horrible thing to think about. It would be much better to have a physical barrier that is so difficult to penetrate that the number who do are easily detected and manageable. But eventually, it may require the use of lethal force to establish the fact that immigrants must come here legally and by no other means.

Yep , you only have to shoot a handful.
The other hundreds of thousands will suddenly realize immediate consequence and retreat

We absolutely can shoot anyone who tries to breach our borders. It boggles my mind why we havent been doing it all along. I have said since they started this build the wall nonsense that it wont be nothing but a huge waste of money if we dont man the wall and enforce breaching it with deadly force. Just dig under, climb over or cut a hole it in. Every few hundred yards there should be a tower with a machine gun and a soldier in the thing. Put some mines out on the other side of it. Create a no man zone. Just building a stupid wall and leaving it unguarded is useless. Should also run regular sweeps with ground penetrating radar to find tunnels and then destroy them.
If you want to come into the country use a port of entry. period

what good is it to have a border if noone cares or supervises who comes across the thing? The world is not a friendly place, lots of people would kill you for just being an american.

Strong borders=good Kicking out every single person who crosses said border illegally=good Strong tall concrete wall at botder=good Wanting to kill people who cross said border=go to a psychiatrist. You need mental help. Not a single person who has posted on this thread has said they want to kill people who cross our border. What they understand and even you appear to agree with, is that we can't continue to allow millions of illegal aliens to enter our country to sap our resources and destroy our culture. We have a duty to protect our families, friends, property, country, way of life and ourselves. Sometimes you have to do things you want to do to meet your responsibilities. Much of the world's population would come here if they could. We do not have the resources to support them all, nor do we have the duty to do so. America First! Keith

prosecute and fine to the brink of bankruptcy people who hire illegals.
no public school, no welfare, no unemployment for illegals
this is the age of the computer. no privacy. no way that employers are unaware. no way authorities don't know who and where. the only exception would be drug dealers. legalize addiction and that would end also. anybody who wants to get high is getting high now. we need to quit wasting money on dope fiends.
IF you find somebody willing to shoot a 15 year old girl for illegal entry, how long will that last after the first trigger squeeze? What will that cost for a lifetime of mental health issues?
Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

If it came to using deadly force to secure our borders, the mine field idea would be the best. You would have it posted that you are entering a mine field. At least that way it is the illegals choice whether to risk death and doesn't place the burden on a soldier to kill women and children that are crossing. Danny's ideas are pretty good, they would likely curtail the reason(money)for illegally crossing. The only thing I don't agree with is the legalizing of hard drugs, because legalizing legitimizes drugs. Then little Johnny thinks heroin is okay because it's legal and gives it a try and then becomes an addict. Legal opiates such as Oxycontin have created thousands of addicts.
