Any ideas how to effectively clean mud and clay from a synthetic rifle stock? I just wiped down with clean water and no luck.
Thinking maybe Armor All or something similar?
My trusty dispatch weapon "Ol' Painless" is in need of a spot shine lol.
Just finished cleaning and lubing action and barrel and realized just how filthy it is.

Just happy to be here.

How about some Gunscrub or Braakleen.

Be careful with Gun Scrubber type cleaner with some composite stocks. It doesn't always play well, and can be overly abrasive to some plastics.
I'd try just rubbing the stock with a light oil and soft clothe first.

Thanks all... I am thinking a brush and mild cleaner is the way and the light.

I'll let you all know how it turns out

Just happy to be here.

My Knight Rifle got pretty well slopped up hauling a deer out several years ago. I just pulled the ram rod and action and went at it with my pressure washer. I then put it in a 32 gallon trash bag taped up to my boot drier, poked some holes in the bag and turned the drier on. An hour or so later it was good to go. If I wasn't going to use it for a couple days I would skip the bag and boot drier and just set it in the corner to dry. The pressure washer worked perfectly, didn't hurt a thing.

I'd go scrub brush and Dawn. No way I'd Armor-all a rifle stock.

Remove barrel and action, then scrub with warm water, Dawn, and a little degreaser. Rinse well and dry thoroughly. What I would do.
