Sadly a lot of, including those in Harrisburg, wouldn't consider an old drivers license a valid form of ID.
A friend of mine got hit with that a few years ago. I'm not sure what the fine was. The MDJ did say he probably would've thrown it out if it had been a copy of his current DL, but since it was an old DL he couldn't accept it.

That is true what Elk said. The reasoning is, you could have moved out of state since it expired, making you a non-res.
Mr Green Jeans has gotten a lot more mannered in this area too.
For a while they were getting pretty well disliked.

Are those all magazines in the pic?
That man is prepared.

Well I was told by a WCO at a HTE class that an old driver's license was sufficient proof of ID. Just goes to show you...there might be something to the old PA saying; ask ten different wardens a question and you'll get ten different answers.

I carry my old DL and a HTE card in my license packet. I've been checked twice (this was the third time) with that set up. So far so good but maybe I should upgrade my ID.

Wright, I don't think those are all mags but I'm not sure, I don't know what they are.

Eh...wot?

My favorite warden told me not to ask ten, he said it complicates things.
He trapped 8-900 his last good year. He was my go to. I miss him.
Actually I've had several that had my full respect. One bad apple can taint a bushel.

Lug, I've been told both by different WCO's, er er er Wardens. I actually had 2 of them kind of arguing about it at a sportshow. It was pretty comical when the one pulled out the "Big Book of Rules".

But by the wording of the law it should be a current ID.

I tell everyone if they think our game laws are hard to understand they should go to NY and fish.

Oh and lug, saw two bucks chasing while I was on the stage, both AR protected. Fun though, I grunted the one.
One more shift with good weather and a not scared helper and I can take down 2 of 6 sets. Unless you want to hunt that stand? lol

Wait, didn't PA just pass something where they can now be officially called wardens?

Critter and I were rattlesnake hunting on game lands near us. We were on our way out and got stopped by a warden who was driving down the road. Although they don't cover snakes he asked for my permit. Neither one of us had it on us. There was no service there so he took my name and left after a brief conversation. Nice guy and a good learning experience for my kid who is interested in becoming a warden.
