I have a trapper friend who has been the 4-H Fur Trapper Instructor in Hamilton Co., Indiana for several years. could be Hendricks Co. Fairgrounds is in Danville, In. He has several taking it every year.
For years I have been tomstrap, now I must change because of the whims of the cyber world. NRA Life, ISTA Life, FTA Life, NTA Life

here the 4 H has them fishin-musky fishin-they used my property a month ago for a get together of 4 branches from around PA.

District one of the PA trappers association donates money every year to the local 4-H. They are super supportive of us as trappers, and we should be the same of them. Glad to hear of this.

I remember on one episode of Hoosier Trapping Supply's podcast they talked about some curriculum they were developing or talking about developing (if I heard it correctly). Might be neat to see that, whether 4-H or them be an option to public schools to pick up if they wanted.

I cannot get the link to work on my pc to read the article but I have been talking with a guy from South Dakota that has a very extensive 4h based trapping program they are running up there. They have gear donated yearly and they give training and field studies to the kids as well as letting them use the gear. They put up the furs and are judged on the final product they caught handled and processed as well as the overall class base information. It is a great way to get the correct information out to our youths who may only currently getting it from Sarah Mcloughlin commercials.

Nice , I added several fur and fur-bearer related projects to the fair book for the last few years , haven't had to many takers , a few projects with types of traps and trap ID have come to fair.
America only has one issue, we have a Responsibility crisis and everything else stems from it.

That might have been the issue.

The Montana 4H program has had a fur bearer section and my kids took part in it well over 10 years ago , the Montana Trappers Association along with our FWP and state 4 H have a Youth Trapper Education Camp each June which is gained us national recognition from even the NTA. With kids from far and wide wanting to take part in it .
