Hawbaker's has good fox urine. Is that still the case since it's changed hands?

the problem isnt that there is a LOT of fake pee being sold, the problem is the dealers who market it as genuine.

I am curious about what I have that I purchased. I will leave the name out of it as i don't know too much about fox urine. I got a quart of red fox urine this year from someplace i always get good supplies and items from. IT smelled good and looked good. In a cold spell at the beginning of the season the bottle and all urine in it froze. fairly solid froze not just slushy. It was -13 one night not that that makes a huge difference to me i guess. What I am saying though is now the urine has a different odor all together. After noticing that i paid attention the the temp and it and noticed it starts freezing just below 32 degrees. I had thought good urine froze a lot lower temp than straight water. I have also never had my urine change smell and make up on me after a freeze. I am however not very intelligent on the origin and base of urine bought. I guess i just thought when anyone bought urine they got 100% actual urine.

Internet says normal human urine freezes at -1C to -5C or ~23-30F, so it would be unusual for a solution of various salts and urea to freeze at 32F. Add water the freeze temp gets closer to that of water. I have read though that many urines have additives to lower the freeze point. One famous lure maker and trapper posted on this site some years ago "I add a cup of pickling salt per gallon of urine as an anti-freeze during winter trapping and have never noted salt compromising the urines effectiveness whatsoever. Salt is natural.." It's been said that when urine is partially frozen you can remove the ice and the remainder will be more concentrated and will also be more freeze resistant. Human urine is as good as varmint urine anyway. Cheaper. Cheaper is better. LOL.
