Those who would give up essential liberty, to purchase a little temporary safety, deserve neither liberty nor safety. Benjamin Franklin (1706-1790)

Well I got up at 4:00 but only because I had to pee, threw a couple of sticks in the woodstove and opened the air so it would be nice and toasty when my real getting up time came at 5:30.

Eh...wot?

Stove on here. Just installed a stainlessTI flex chimney liner.
Brings my perfectly fine system up to code, for 900 bucks.
"Try" to save the white oak and hickory for later season.

Love it! look forward to it all summer.

I burn Cottonwood fall and spring because we'r surrounded by it. Try to save the Ash, Elm and Locust for the real cold stuff.

Woodstove is fired up, sipping coffee, life is good.
I live in an area where I can (and do) cut and burn pretty much all oak.
I don't drop many trees anymore (private woods access getting more difficult, older age as well). I have a semi load of oak logs ordered for delivery in the next week or two. I'll cut and split the logs, season them for a year or better.

The only reason I get up at 2 every morning is I have to pee. It’s not that bad anymore I’m used to it now

I don’t trap because I want to

Im burning my walnut tops from logging 2 yrs ago,,im saving my red elm,ash and other hot burners until 0 degrees. 72 in here now with my junk wood and stove shut down. I have my own trees and I never cut a live tree for my stove...i have many that come down on their own yearly and the ash borers supplied me with wood for the last few yrs.
