I have my grandfathers double barrel shotgun/rifle. Its printed on the side as a "H. Pieper. Just curious as to a value when insuring or just in general. Its in rough shape. Cracked stock and the forearm will fall off when opening the breach. A little help would be good if you can.

I think it was meant for a very light loaded modern ammo. And its not for sale!

If I read this right, it is a rifle/shotgun combo correct? One rifle barrel and 1 shotgun? These are called "Cape guns" and are SUPER cool. I am not familiar with that brand off the top of my head. Most were 16 gauge and the rifle barrels were largely metric calibers. If unsure of the caliber they can easily be chamber casted.
I have nothing clever to put here.

I know its 12 gauge and I haven't checked the rifle for sure. I went by what was told. The barrels are very long and heavy. It will probably stay in the safe.
Along with the 3 barrel Drillings that my father brought back from Europe after WW2. Its a pair of 16 gauges on top with a rifle on the bottom. Possibly 9 mm.? It has a sight for the rifle you slide up to lift it. It too will stay in the safe.

The rifle barrel is likely 9. something. 9.3 x 72 Rimmed or something like that.
I have nothing clever to put here.

It could be 22 H as in 22 hornet. 22 HP was also another common chambering (22 Savage Hipower).
I have nothing clever to put here.
