Hey folks! So a few weeks ago we ventured up to hudson to hang out with my brother in law. Did some shopping, did a little fishing on the st croix river, and some early morning runs on local trails. Beautiful country up your way!
Over that weekend we drove up to chippewa falls and toured the leinenkugal brewery. What a neat facility and history! Anyway, I bought me one of those Stormy Kromer wool hats, similar to one Zim is sporting in his tman mugshot. Mine is red, zims is green. I'm assuming Zim has a Kromer on, it looks similar.
I will do my best to post up some pics this season in my new cool weather hat, catches of coyotes and coons while putting the new hat to work here in Nebraska.
Thank you both for your posts on here.
Jim grin

Money cannot buy you happiness, but it can buy you a trapping license and that's pretty close.

Wow, jabNE! I just saw this. Clearly I am working too much and I'm missing out on good things. I'm sure glad you enjoyed your visit to cheeseland! Sometime, you'll have to make it a visit to right here in our neck of the woods. Yep, Zim has a whole collection of Kromers in an array of classic colors.

Last week, we were in line at the local hardware store and a young guy (maybe 20 years old) noticed Zim wearing a Stormy Kromer and asked where he can a genuine one. As we walked out of the store, Zim and I said to each other, "There's still hope for our youth!" laugh

We'll watch for those posts and pics!

The Leinie's brewery is about 20 minutes north of my farm. I have four Kromer hats, one original Kromer and three Stormy Kromers. All very useful, and did I mention the "cool" factor ? I've made several stops at their factory & store in Ironwood, MI........cool place to say the least.
Great to hear you you enjoyed your visit up this way in Wisconsin. I've never met Zim, but since he wears a Kromer, then he's an ok kind of guy !

My favorite hat is my Kromer from 1964, also the fad back then were the blue with white polka dot Kromer Kleen Kloth Kaps, everyone wore them, there was also red and green ones!

JabNE,
Don’t trust everyone in Wisconsin that wears a Kromer. I’m also glad he’s not around to respond to Patrice’s what’s for dinner threads.

Hey, that ain't no Kromer ol' Ed is sporting, although I hear he was into making his own clothing. I have a half dozen of or so of them, 3 originals and 3 Stormy's.
My pride and joy is an original blaze orange one with black camo shapes. About time to blow the dust off it in preparation for deer gun season.
No doubt about it, a Kromer makes a guy look swave and deboner. grin

Great hats . I had the typical red plaid until my wife washed and shrunk it.

Oh, absolutely, Nessy!

In addition to the orange Holstein patterned Kromer Zim mentioned, I especially like his red one that matches the suspenders on his gray wool ice fishing bibs. Man, he makes that look good!
grin

This one, of course, is a classic.
