Looking at a new rig, what engine would you get, the 3.5 eco boost or the 5.0, both in 10 speed.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

If your towing anything heavy, get the naturally aspirated larger displacement engine.

Got a 13 with the 5.0 and 88k on it and no problems with the engine knock on wood only issue I had was the fuse for the fuel pump overheated and melted the contacts in the fuse panel.... wasn't hard to fix it too. My concern when I bought my truck was that little engine ( the eco boost ) is cranked to milk all the power it can produce... so what's the life of that motor when it's running at the top of the power range. where as the 5.0 coyote engine is a detuned mustang engine that's no where near the top of its power range. I look at it like race cars yeah those guys are pushing crazy hp but there is no life on the engines either but this is just my $.02 maybe someone else can tell you other wise all I know is my 5.0 has been a good reliable engine that's getting 17.5- 18.5 miles to the gallon from day one and that's driving everything from highway to farm fields.

If your buying a ford get the 5.0. All of the 3.5 EcoBoost that come in for service at the shop I work at shows around 14mpg average on the dash. My 1998 Chevrolet 305 with 250k on the clock gets that or better.

Get a 5.7 hemi and ditch the ford. Never saw a ford that didn’t spend as much time in the shop as on the road, not a newer one anyways.

LTRs per hundred km is less complicated.Gallons are different wherever you go-some gallons are 4.5 ltrs and some-like yours are only 3.7. So for comparisons sake and to have all things equal-miles per gallon is not accurate.Ltrs per hundred km can be easily converted to whatever size your gallon is,unless you are stupid at math.
