Didn't you just get the Ford you are driving now? Maybe, you should look at a Chevy. Yes I did. I have a 2017 with the 3.5 eco and 10sp tranny. Nice truck with plenty of power but gas mileage sucks. I’m always pulling my boat or small trailer with ATV, lucky to get 12 mpg pulling and in the winter it’s worse. Always filling up. I’d be better off with something else I think.
I can explain it to you, but I can't understand it for you.

I am no sucker for punishment, Chevy Silverado for me. 5.3 4x4 getting 22-24 mpg daily at 77 mph freeway, work is a 100 mile round trip, with other runs about 600 or so miles a week. Between weird problems, broken spark plugs and crazy expensive cracked exhaust manifolds why a Ford? Cheap initial cost? . My Chevys are ran 250,000 miles then traded, with minimal expense. To each their own I guess. One mistake I made was fancy rims and 22 inch tires, just north of $1200.00 at tire replacement time, wish I got 18 inch tires.

It doesn't matter what you get, it will cost way more than it is worth. You will have to fill up a gas tank an offal lot to pay for a $60,000 PU even if the mileage it double.

Wife has the 5.0 - 2014 - we bought in spring of 15. All the power you need. Pulls my work trailer, boat and anything else when needed. Fuel mileage is unreal for a truck. We have been getting 20-21 mpg on the highway. no bs. average 18 running around town and such. Also know a guy who has a 2012 with the 5.0 and same story. We have over 50k on ours so far and hasn't been to the shop once. knock on wood. I would highly recommend the 5.0 vs the eco boost. It's still brand new. Update us when your over 100,000. I'm a Chevy owner and my truck has been really good as far as reliability. 175,000. I'm keeping it till 200,000. Thinking about Ford and if I do, I want the naturally aspirated 5.0 so I'm interested in people's thoughts once there truck has been through the paces.
No Jab.

This right here is the reason I will never buy a brand new vehicle. Pay 60k+ for a pickup that will be worth less than 25k in four years? That’s the math and I don’t have that kind of money to burn. Lose 10k soon as you sign the paperwork.

I get 22 on highway with my GMC Sierra 1500 crew ltz, it's a 2016. Just turned 60K and it's only been oil and filter changes so far, runs like a champ. I intend to keep this one a long time. Jim

A new truck doesn't have to cost that much if you stay away from all the extras. I gave $38,000 for my 2018 new. 5.3 ltr double cab LT, 4-door, 6'6" box, 4X4, I added heated seats and tow package. I priced newer used stuff and they wanted the same price.

Looks like he needs another year;-)

Got the 5.0 in a 2010 and a 3.5 in a 2019. The 3.5 has a lot more power and slightly better mileage.

Buy one about a year or two old also. Let someone else take that first couple years steep depreciation drop. Jim
