The other day I was walking my trapline checking traps. The area I am trapping is along a creek so I was wearing waders and carrying my Duluth pack basket while carrying bait and my gun. The first traps were empty but the traps at the end of the line had three coons one of which was 28 lbs. I threw everything in my back pack and started the trudge back to my vehicle. There was probably about 75 pounds of gear / coons etc and I am not a big guy 6'0" and 165 so it was a large load. I thought I should probably take my time to avoid having a heart attack so I would go 100 yards and stop to catch my breath.

During one of the stops I looked down at my feet and found a roasary! Not sure if it was a sign or what but definetly out of the ordinary.

I'd say that was a sign alright.

That I would say was a sign...What are the odds of stopping in just the right spot to see something that small?? Were you on a trail? maybe just the easiest path along there?

Years ago I was tracking a poorly hit deer threw a small marsh in a big public woods..Like you I stopped, not to take a breather but to scan for that next small pin spot of blood..What did I see? there lays one the small Maglites take two AA batteries.. Batteries were still good..To this day I have to wonder who dropped it. Most likely a bow hunter as this was opening of gun deer.. Just seemed funny I'd find that little light randomly in big woods and not a main trail.

I’m not superstitious, but I’m also not big on coincidence either! I’d say that’s a sign. Good story

I would say it was a coincidence.

I got myself a seniors' GPS.
Not only does it tell me how to get to my destination,
it tells me why I wanted to go there.

There is no such thing as a coincidence.

I'd be really curious how old the rosary is.

I was hunting the Littlebelt mountains in Montana. I left the road at 3:30 am to go up the Mountain. I got to the park I seen Elk in the night before and sat next to a tree. As the sun was coming up I look over and there a Winchester md 70 264 Winchester mag leaning against the tree. I hauled that around all day. I took it to the Sheriffs off the next day. No one claimed it and the next yr I was out there I stopped and they gave it to me. That was back in 1981. I still have it and often wonder what the guy that lost it thought.

Maybe the police can get some DNA off it to solve a 30 year old cold case......

I was trapping beaver one spring and was supposed to be setting, when I got to the river I walked it aways and when I went to make my first set I found I didn't have any cutters.I remembered them being in the shed and I forgot to bring them along.I was walking along the road back to my truck mentally kicking myself for forgetting them when laying in front of me was a brand new pair of linemen cutters. That was over 20 years ago and I remember not moving, just staring at them.

I was deer hunting, a long way from anywhere, and found a golf ball with self doubt written on it. I have heard of hitting a ball out of bounds but this one was at least 20 miles from the nearest golf course.

Reminds me of the time a friend of mine spent hours hiking through a remote part of West Texas to scout some new territory. He stepped through a thick patch of brush to find two women really enjoying each other's company. He said they gave him quite the "What are YOU doing here?" look.

Buck, I had the exact same thing happen with a trowel a couple years ago. I'm still using that trowel today/
