MN used to lean liberal but it was very close and typically both the Republican and Dem candidate were careful to appeal to sportsmen. MN really is not close anymore, to many immigrants and they all vote far left, it is now a race to the left in this state. Our governor wants wolves protected even if they are removed from ESA protection. Someday they will get trapping on the ballot here and we will lose it.

Some years back the MN Conservation Federation wanted to get a bill passed that would guarantee the state would have hunting & fishing a perpetual sport. I tried to get them to include trapping in there as well. I was told that might be a hard sell and could jeopardize everything. They said, let's get this part passed and we can always add trapping at a later date. Well, the hunting and fishing passed, but when I went to them for another bill adding trapping, none of them were interested in pursuing that.

We are told not to judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but are told to judge all gunowners by the actions of a few.

Hindsight would seem to indicate MN trappers should have gone for the hard sell!

you can vote your way into socialism, but you will have to shoot your way out.

It's been several administrations since we've had an anti (Democrat) for a governor.
