You should, we’ve had some only getting 18bu/acre.

Parts of it. 10 miles north into Delaware some are 65bu/acre. Just plain crazy.

Which is worse? Too dry and 18 bushels when harvested or 40 bushel that rots because it is too wet to combine? Probably the latter as you don't need to get in the field. If both bought crop insurance for a specific revenue amount per acre they could both get the same sum in the end.

Farmers are the most unappreciated group in this country. Supplies keep going up regardless of commodity prices. (Like trapping) all end users make profits off the farmers loss. Might be the farmers best interest to leave all crop land sit idle for one year to wake up the end user. Politicians and activists would celebrate this for reducing carbon until they realized we had no food.

Still beats dairy, those guys seem to have little to no hope. Farming is a tough business all around, I used to love it, cant afford to now.

I got my feet wet a little this year with produce. I believe next year I will just sell the started plants at the flea market. A lot more money with less aggravation.

Yes, that and his famous riddle, "What is greater than God?"

We are told not to judge all Muslims by the actions of a few lunatics, but are told to judge all gunowners by the actions of a few.

Way too much of our food is imported. Just read the labels on fruits and veggies next time you find yourself in the grocery store.
