A couple of months ago I posted pictures of a section of land I bought from Weyerhaeuser. I love the place, no buyer's remorse. Attached is a picture I took yesterday, no snow yet, very warm fall, there should be a couple of feet of snow there by now. We have been taking advantage of this open weather, you can see the sauna building is nearly complete across the lake.

That's a freakin postcard, beautiful!!
I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

Well I’d rather have a sauna than a cabin any day too!

^^^^ There are sleeping quarters in the sauna building also. The building sits out on a peninsula that juts out into the lake; can't really tell that by the picture though.

But it's in Wa. No trapping except with cages. What can you do there besides roast hot dogs? mt Yeah, being limited to cages isn't quite the same, but a friend of mine did managed to cage trap 78 nice cats a few years ago. I have the good fortune to be able to shuttle back and forth between Alaska and Washington several (5-8) times a year so I can get my trapping fix in Alaska. I realize that most folks aren't so fortunate. However, I get a lot of satisfaction seeing friends and their kids enjoy this property. It amazes me to see kids (and adults) who are stuck to their phones when in town get up to the lake and completely forget about technology. This property is only about 40 miles from where we all live so it is getting used a lot. Most of my friends and their kids are sort of city people, but its been really fun to see that most of these folks are rapidly turning into outdoors people. Even with the trapping restriction in Washington there are still pretty good opportunities to enjoy the outdoors; lot of black bears on this property as well as deer, elk, cougar, bobcat and marten, all of which may be hunted and/or trapped in this area. And the fishing in the lake isn't too bad either; rainbows.
