9 month old Mountain Feist name Lucas.
I got him for a squirrel dog and he has started treeing by sight just hasn't learned to use his nose yet.

He is the most high strung pup I have ever seen in my life he goes a hundred mile an hour all day long.

If he didn't show so much promise as a squirrel dog I wouldn't put up with him LOL

He sure is a good looking pup.

I wonder if tap dancers walk into a room, look at the floor, and think, I'd tap that. I wonder about things.....

I have a half fiest and half mnt cur. That thing goes 1000 mph all the time. More sight and hearing squirrel dog. Will tree that way. But every now and then he will use his nose but just doesn't tree when he does just runs the tree. Can't put it all together. But the kids love him and he will tree me a a handful of squirrels a year. With fiest I'm not sure if you will truly get a nose to the ground kin of dog, but I hope you do. They timber squirrels better then any other dog I've seen.

Catch...thanks...he is a good lookin fella.

Salem trapper... From what I can gather the mountain fiest has some cur in them. I knew they were mostly sight and sound type dogs, but he has shown me he is able to smell a squirrel anywhere there has been one. he just can't figure out which way to go with it.

1 ranger...yep, that is him to a tee!!!

He is good with all the kids and family. Chewing at peoples feet/shoes is his worst habit. Actually a very smart pup. Learns real quick for the most part.

Great looking dog. I remember when my cur was that age. Full speed, all day, no quit at all.

When I tell him to find a squirrel, he stand on his hind legs and scans the treetops first, then goes nose to the ground.

He's nine now, not slowing down, just can't keep it up all day long. And he's got a pretty good limp from a shoulder injury as a puppy.

Keep socializing him with other people. Not sure about feists, or other curs for that matter, but mine doesn't like strangers at all.

Oh man! Watch saying that. Feist and cur guys will argue to the death about how their lines don’t cross. No feist in curs and the opposite. Lol. Always got a kick out of it. I’ve had both but find the feist suits me better. Personally, I don’t care if they cross them with poodles if they hunt.

I keep desperately hoping that one day someone will call me "Sir" without adding "please calm down" or "you're causing a scene."

Il.trapper, mine figures out what way it goes what tree it goes in just won't tree. It will run the tree and climb the thing but no bark. Now if he see the thing or it starts skipping trees he won't shut up. I just can't get him to trust his nose.

Great looking pup.

Like I say about my dog.... 10 gallons of crap in a 5 gallon bucket.

Good luck.
